Dirty Work (Graffiti)
The human attention span is despicable enough to act against self-interest. Many of us claim to want to stray into other genres of music, but our playlists & recently played logs reveal truth:
There's only so much time in the world.
Limits and choices are mano y mano.
Sometimes they hold each other.
Sometimes, they hurt.
As I age, I learn how many choices I DO have. Multi-tasking turned from having high RAM to understanding how to plan and sequence correctly. The trick to the platform I am trying to create is interacting the left and right brain. Call me a sinner, but I need to let my right hand know what my left is doing.
Principle: No Downtime
Everyone swears they're the illest on the aux.
We can't all be king.
Many of us have the same few albums on repeat. We lie about listening to an album that a friend tried to get us into. Our "likes," both digital and emotional, revolve around other things we like. On one hand, this is what makes us, us. On the other, it proves how cyclical our thinking can be. To fight this, I ventured into some music that I ordinarily wouldn't listen to. I was pleasantly surprised.
